Fortunately, things change

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on how cycling has changed my life over the past five years.
I went from working 9 hours a day in an architecture studio to becoming a graphic designer and social media freelancer in the cycling industry.
But let’s be honest: not everything has been unicorns and rainbows.
Life is made of choices, and at a certain point, after moving from Caracas, Venezuela, to Milan, Italy, life began to take a different shape for me. I started spending more time outdoors, eating differently, meeting new people, and giving myself the chance to discover new passions.
Cycling started as something that simply felt natural. I got a bike and began moving independently and freely around the city at any time of the day. At a certain point, I started exploring new roads and routes. One day, I decided to go a bit farther and realized I was seeing new places and experiencing new things. It felt like I had somehow unlocked the next level of my own life game.
Eventually, I wanted to feel that way again, but I realized I needed to upgrade my bike to keep exploring. So I did.
Six months later, I went on my first bike-packing trip with two people I had met only three months earlier. People I can now call friends.
One year into cycling, I decided to go on my first solo bike-packing trip (Milan > Barcelona) to visit friends in another European country.
So yes, that’s exactly how it all started. Now, it has become a non-stop journey of discovery.
First alone, then with a few people, and now surrounded by many humans I deeply admire and respect.
As time went by, I realized that beyond the places themselves, the people I met (both in real life and online) inspired me deeply and gave me ideas, routes, and dreams to chase on the bike. It became a discovery process that kept growing gradually.
First the bike, then the saddle, then the pedals, then the bags, and so on.
That’s how I decided to start this project.
Cori Moves was born out of curiosity, with the goal of inspiring more people to go outside, experience new things, move, and push beyond what they think their limits are.
So far, this journey has been full of changes, choices, and sometimes sacrifices, but above all, it has been full of discovery, incredible people, and unforgettable moments.
Cycling has allowed me to gain perspective, not only by visiting new places, but through the people I’ve met along the way.
Some people’s stories and lives have truly shown me that what we dream about is possible, and I don’t think there’s anything more inspiring than seeing that through example.
I’m still figuring out where this journey will take me, but I’m very happy I chose to authentically follow my passions. I’m incredibly grateful to have this opportunity and to have a body that is always ready for more, guided by a mind that remains endlessly curious.
I guess now we know a bit more about each other.
If you made it this far, thank you so much. I truly appreciate it.
And if we’ve crossed paths somewhere on the road over the past five years, thank you for the conversations, the smiles, and the moments shared. You are definitely part of this story, and your own story has probably inspired me in some way too.
...Things will keep changing, in order for us to grow, but there is one thing I believe cycling will always remind me of, and that is to be humble.
